I decided to go through the play and record the key facts about James - (I got this idea off of Chloe Harris's blog.) I have highlighted the most important points.

• He is a young offender.
• He is from Glasgow.
• He has been to jail.
• He witnessed domestic violence - (Dad beat up his mum)
• His parents got divorced.
• His mum cared about him.
• He loved his granddad.
• His granddad got cancer.
• He lived on an estate.
• He didn't have many friends.
• He was bullied.
• He was shy, quiet and nerdy.
• He liked horror films.
• He read about serial killers.
• He became a skinhead.
• He wore Doc Martens, bomber jacket and braces.
• People thought he was a Psycho.
• He smoked.
• He listened to punk music.
• His granddad died.
• He was angry.
• He committed assault, arson and attempted murder.
• He took drugs.
• He nearly killed somebody.
• He got a 3 year probation sentence instead of 10 years in jail.
• He started to talk to people and got help.
• He got rid of his Nazi posters and Knives.
• He changed.
